It's finally here! T&M 018, slightly out of sync - we've had 019 and 020 out already - but that's not important!

What IS important is that this fantastic four track release from the U.K. Subs archive - dating back to 1996 - boasts tracks that have never before been put out on vinyl.

Previously only available on 'The British PUNKINVASION Vol.2' compilation CD, these four tracks of raucous, rabble-rousing punk rock were blasted out by a short lived line-up on the cusp of the band's late 90s revival.

This new release thankfully gives these four rough diamonds a long overdue stand alone release.

Two - then - completely new infectious Subs-songs, 'B.F.D.' and 'Government Drugs', are complemented by a full throttle romp through the Wat Tyler classic, 'Hops N Barley', as well as an embryonic version of what would become a new Subs-standard, 'Riot'. All recorded in a week at a New Cross Road studio in deepest, darkest London, SE14.

What more could a Subs vinyl junkie wish for?

Strictly limited to 250 hand numbered copies on 7" beer coloured vinyl in a full colour sleeve with four page colour insert featuring previously un-published photographs courtesy of Benji Bollox (Butler), who played drums on all four tracks and co-wrote 'Riot' with Charlie; Benji has also kindly provided T&M with some brand new liner notes.

Additionally, a full set of lyrics are published for the first time, correcting the errors and omissions from the original CD compilation's booklet.

Originally recorded for the German record label Amöbenklang in 1996, "Amöbenklang" roughly translates from German to English as ‘Amoeba Sounds’, thus giving this release its microbiologically inspired title.

The 7" single's striking artwork utilises an image on its front cover of a record's vinyl grooves taken through an electron microscope magnified x 142 by a student at the University of Rochester, New York, whilst the back cover features, for contrast, an enlarged vinyl image familiar to Subs fans.
