U.K. SUBS RECORD STORE DAY 2015 COUNTDOWN
5 U.K. SUBS ALBUMS SET FOR RSD 2015 VINYL RE-ISSUE

FIVE U.K. Subs albums are set for vinyl re-issues on new colours for this year's Record Store Day on 18 April 2015.

These lovingly reproduced vinyl LP re-issues are being released by 'Let Them Eat Vinyl' as follows...

LETV217LP - HUNTINGTON BEACH (Transparent Green)
LETV219LP - UNIVERSAL (Transparent Yellow)
LETV355LP - JAPAN TODAY (Transparent Red)
LETV356LP - MAD COW FEVER (Transparent Purple)
LETV357LP - NORMAL SERVICE RESUMED (Transparent Blue & Purple)

The most exciting of these releases are the Universal and Normal Service Resumed LPs, which are double vinyls, as they also come with the free live CD that was issued with the original CD album versions.
These live recordings have never before been issued on vinyl and therefore are essential purchases for any U.K. Subs vinyl junkie!

U.K. SUBS RECORD STORE DAY FEATURE Number 1:

Huntington Beach
Originally released on the then drummer Rab Fae Beith's label RFB Recordings in 1985 and featuring James Moncur on guitar, Ricky McGuire on bass and Rab on drums, the original LPs 15 tracks are bolstered for this re-issue by the inclusion of the single 'This Gun Says' and the 4 live tracks that made up the 4 track EP 'Live In Holland' which came out the following year. 'This Gun Says' features Charlie and Rab, but with Tezz on guitar and John Armitage on bass.

Therefore, the other major difference to the original single album release is that this is now a double album!

Huntington Beach was the U.K. Subs' sixth studio album, and it was the Harper/Moncur/McGuire/Beith line-up that recorded the follow up 'live' album 'In Action'.

The LP has been issued 3 times prior to this re-issue, on Rab's label and in Brazil in 1985, and then it re-surfaced in Germany in 1990.

The Let Them Eat Vinyl issue is therefore the first time in a quarter of a century that it has been available on vinyl. It's the first time as well that it has been in a deluxe gatefold sleeve and on coloured vinyl...
