   U.K. Subs Peel Sessions

The Captain Oi! 7" Single Series

  Volume Two Out Now

Captain Oi! Records have today released the second in a set of three 7" singles that will feature the U.K. Subs' three legendary John Peel sessions which the band recorded from 1978 to 1979.

These magnificent and stunningly designed singles are available in a choice of two different colours, strictly limited to 250 copies of each, with this second release being on green vinyl and white vinyl.

This second John Peel session, featuring the Harper / Garratt / Slack / Davies line-up, was recorded at the BBC Maida Vale studios on 6 September 1978 and first broadcast on the John Peel show 9 days later, comprising five classic Subs tracks: 'World War', 'T.V. Blues', 'Another Kind Of Blues', 'All I Wanna Know' and 'Totters'.

Notable for the embryonic versions of two tracks from their debut album, both 'Another Kind Of Blues', later re-named 'Blues' and 'Totters', re-imagined as 'Rockers' are essential recordings for any Subs aficionado.

Each release comes with a full colour heavy-duty card gatefold sleeve, boasting previously unpublished photos of the band by Virginia Turbett, as well as exclusive comprehensive liner note essays from the U.K. Subs 'Time & Matter' website editors Mark Chadderton and Rob Cook, the second of which is by the latter, entitled 'Working Progress'.

Volume 3 is set to be released in January 2016 whilst Volume 1 quickly sold out on its release last month.
