Here is Marc's initial call out...

"Calling on U.K. Subs fans around the world - a new book project urgently needs your stories, recollections and insights about the world’s longest running, continuously performing, inspirational, enduring and hugely popular punk rock acts.
It’s the Mount Everest of literary challenges, to research and document the highly productive, entertaining, eclectic, creative, engaging, illustrious, turbulent, meandering and global history of the cottage industry that is the U.K. Subs.
Lifelong fan and Time and Matter contributor Marc Brekau is attempting this challenge, placating time zones and continents to research and recreate the concise, unbiased and in-depth history of the band, from A to Z and beyond. With a strong focus on researching new information, the project features exclusive commentary, insights and stories from the many musicians who have performed in or with the band, alongside academic, business and literary analysis and commentary on the band's brand heritage, genre contribution, recording and touring history, and punk rock legacy.
Obviously, a project of this magnitude urgently needs your support. It needs to hear from the countless dedicated individuals whose unequivocal, unquestionable allegiance, generosity and support for the band has spanned the decades: the fans, musicians, promoters, drivers, roadies, record and merchandise collectors, arcivists and independent media types. In particular, the thousands who live in Japan, Germany, France, Spain, Norway, Hungary, Poland, Belgium, Greece, Canada, Brazil and the USA, places the band have toured extensively, but whose personal commentary, insights and recollections have rarely been shared, reported, published or covered outside of their native countries.
Currently being compiled under the working title of ‘Born A Rocker’, this expansive literary project enjoys the full support of the band's enterprising, productive and passionate Time and Matter web team, and a plethora of former band members, musical associates and independent punk rock writers, many of whom were interviewed this year, with the promise of many more to come.

Pledge your support and lend a helping hand, for the band are genuinely worth it. For as Charlie himself once said, “BE INVOLVED. One day it could all be worth something because it's not only history but the future too. So live it, don't just be part of the audience, participate."
